I have always had an instinct to leave things behind—letters, journals, arguments, questions, fragments of thought. For a long time, I thought I was simply trying to remember. I think it is closer to wanting to remain traceable.

Indigo is a record of that becoming: things that entered my world, things I tried in order to know, and traces left by different versions of me along the way.

I think one of the most sincere experiences in life is realizing that someone genuinely enjoys your existence—not what you can offer, not what you've achieved, but simply the way you think, the way you move through the world, the fact that you are here.

It's a big world out there. Somehow, you found your way into this small record of mine.
